Essential Wrist Stretches for Barbers
Maintaining peak performance as a barber means taking care of your most valuable tools: your hands and wrists. The repetitive motions involved in hairstyling can strain these essential assets. To keep them in prime condition, incorporate these essential wrist stretches into your daily routine:
Wrist Flexor Stretch
Extend your arm in front of you, flex your wrist upward, and gently pull your fingers back with your other hand. Feel the stretch in your wrist and forearm.
Wrist Extensor Stretch
Extend your arm in front, flex your wrist downward, and use your other hand to pull your fingers back. This stretch targets the top of your wrist and forearm.
Wrist Circles
This exercise helps maintain flexibility. Make slow, controlled circles clockwise and then counterclockwise.
Finger Tapping
Tap your fingertips together, starting with your index fingers and increasing speed for 30 seconds.
